Terms and Conditions
When you place an order to purchase a product from us, we will send you an automated email confirming receipt and containing the specific details of your order. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a product for you. That acceptance will be complete at such time as we email you to confirm the dispatch of the items on your order. Any products on the same order which are not included in the dispatch email will not form part of that contract.
We reserve the right to cancel your order at any time and for any reason. Upon cancellation, a refund will be provided immediately
Postage & Packing (P&P)
If item(s) purchased exceed £40 in value and/or are large in size, we will send item(s) via the Parcelforce Signed For service. When your order has been dispatched, you will receive an email notification from us with the Royal Mail number. Specific costings are as follows:
Flat Rate, UK Royal Mail Parcelforce : £4.95
Any requests outwith these standard delivery costings should be discussed directly with Saddleworth Outdoor.
We will deliver the goods to the address you specify under the delivery section of your order. Please ensure that the address is accurate as we cannot accept liability for any items once they have been delivered to the address specified. Whilst we aim to deliver within the quoted time frame, if the delivery is delayed due to circumstances beyond our control, we will contact you with an appropriate update.
Sometimes, due to stock levels, it may be necessary to split the delivery of multiple items. In this case, we will contact you to let you know as soon as possible.
Out of Stock / Unavailable Item
If an item is showing as ‘out of stock’ or ‘unavailable’, please contact us by phone or by email and we will advise of the status. For some of our product lines, we do not hold full stocks within our premises but you can still order and we will dispatch as soon as it becomes available. In some cases we may instruct our supplier to dispatch the product direct to you.
Please also note that dispatch estimates are just that – they are not guaranteed dispatch times and as a result should not be relied upon as such. That said we always aim to dispatch goods within the times quoted, and if it looks like there’s going to be a delay we will contact you by phone or email with an update.
Saddleworth Outdoor gift vouchers make an ideal present. Let the recipient choose their own gift from our extensive range of outdoor clothing, footwear and accessories. They can be purchased directly through the website and used either online or in our shop in Uppermill.
If you choose to pay with paypal, please select this as your payment method. You will then be directed to the Paypal site where you will need access your own Paypal account and pay for your order. Any order paid with Paypal will be charged at the point of ordering. Please ensure that your delivery address is correct on your Paypal account.
Refunds with Paypal
Any verified refunds will be issued via your Paypal account and will show within 2-3 working days of the process on our system. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer Paypal as a payment method for exchange orders.
If you prefer to pay by telephone, please contact Saddleworth Outdoor on 01457 876555 between 10am and 5pm and we will place the order directly and take details of your credit or debit card. These details will not be kept in any form. If you wish to arrange a phone call order or have any other queries, please contact us by email on email@example.com.
We are able to accept Visa, Mastercard or Maestro, but not American Express
Returns and Returns Number
Please examine your items and inform us of any issue as soon as you receive your delivery. If you find your purchase is unsuitable for any reason, we will exchange it or refund the cost as long as it/they are returned in a new and unused condition within 30 days of the date of receiving it/them. Please note that you are responsible for the return postage costs.
Please be aware that for health and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns of underwear or socks once they have been tried on, as once worn, they are deemed to be used. Item(s) should be packed carefully; goods must arrive in a perfect and unused condition for the refund to be issued. To return an order, contact Saddleworth Outdoor either by phone or by email in the first instance and ensure that you take note of the Returns Number. When returning your items, please include the Return Number received from Saddleworth Outdoor. Affix the correct postage and post your parcel to Saddleworth Outdoor, 45 High Street, Uppermill, OL3 6HS. We recommend you obtain a certificate of posting and confirm that the insurance covers the value of the item from the Post Office, as you are responsible for the goods until they reach us.
We regret that we are only able to refund postage charges on items which are deemed incorrect, faulty or damaged. We can only accept items if you return in the original packaging with labelling intact and if the product is in a new and unused condition. We reserve the right to charge a restocking fee if the value of the returned goods has been reduced because the goods have been handled more than stipulated above. Any amount deducted from your refund will be communicated to you prior to a refund being processed.
The standard warranty period for all goods (unless otherwise stated) is 12 months from the date of delivery to you. This covers defects in materials and workmanship, but will not cover general wear and tear. If your item has developed a fault and is outside of the 12 month warranty period please contact us – we will consider every case and will do our best to resolve any issues for you with the relevant manufacturer. We offer no guarantee that the manufacturer will resolve the issue, however we will try our best to get the item either repaired or replaced.
Delivery charges paid at the time of order will not be refunded, unless the item is faulty or has been sent out in error. Please be aware that any refunds could take up to 14 days to reach your account.
1. Return Delivery Charges on Exchanged Goods
If you originally paid a delivery charge on your transaction and then return it to us for an exchange we will charge the cost of delivering the exchanged item. We will contact you prior to despatching the item in order to process the appropriate payment.
2. Returning Faulty Goods
To return an item you believe to be faulty, please contact Saddleworth Outdoor either by phone or email and obtain a Returns Number. Please either print out, complete and include the Returns Form, or include a note containing the relevant information with the package containing the item(s).
You must contact us first before returning faulty items as we will not refund postage costs unless otherwise agreed with us. However, in most cases we will refund the postage if the product is deemed faulty.

When returning faulty goods within your warranty period, be aware that items will normally be returned to the supplier for testing. Once the supplier agrees that the item is faulty, we will normally arrange repair for the product, or if that’s not possible, arrange replacement of the product. If this isn’t possible and we can’t find an alternative product, we will provide a refund. Different suppliers have different timescales for dealing with warranty claims. In most cases we find warranty claims are dealt with within 10 working days of the supplier receiving the goods for assessment. Please be aware that any refunds may take up to 14 days to be received into your account.
When returning faulty items to us ensure that the items are clean and free from dirt and debris and that you include the original purchase receipt and packaging where possible. Any soiled garments will be rejected or deemed not to be faulty will not be eligible for a refund. If requested, they will be posted back to your requested address once postal payment amounts have been made by yourself.
3. Improper returns
Where you return a product in contravention of point 2 (and where you do not have any other legal right to return the product):
(a) we will not refund or exchange the product;
(b) we may retain the returned product until you pay to us such additional amount as we may charge for re-delivery of the returned product; and
(c) if we do not receive payment of such additional amount within 14 days of issuing a request for payment, we may destroy or otherwise dispose of the returned product at our sole discretion, without any liability to you.
4. Listing Errors
Whilst we aim to be as accurate as possible in our listings, occasionally errors occur. Saddleworth Outdoor reserves the right to cancel orders for products that have been incorrectly listed, or for products that cannot be found. In the unlikely event that this situation arises, we will void/refund your payment immediately and provide an email containing a detailed explanation.
When listing items for sale on our website, we use the product specifications provided by the manufacturer . Saddleworth Outdoors cannot be held responsible for inconsistencies between the manufacturers quoted specification and the actual specification. If you are unhappy with the product or feel that the product has been incorrectly listed, please let us know and if the product is in an unused condition, we can exchange or refund the product at our discretion. If the product has been used, we will replace/credit at the discretion of the manufacturer.
5. Price Promise
If you purchase an item from us, then find the price on our website has decreased within 14 days of your purchase date, please contact us and we shall refund the difference.
We monitor our prices regularly and always try to be competitive. We may also run short term sales and promotions which affect the selling price of our products.
If you find a lower price with a competitor contact us and we’ll do our best to beat it. The item should be available from the competitor for immediate dispatch, and be the same size, colour and model.
6. Alteration of Service OR Amendments to Terms and Conditions
We reserve the right to make changes to our website, policies, and these Terms and Conditions at any time. You will be subject to the policies and Terms and Conditions in force at the time that you use the website or that you order goods from us, unless any change to those policies or these conditions is required to be made by law or government authority (in which case it will apply to orders previously placed by you). If any of these conditions is deemed invalid, void, or for any reason unenforceable, that condition will be deemed severable and will not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition.
- Statutory rights
This guarantee does not affect and is in addition to your statutory rights as a consumer.
Here at Saddleworth Outdoor, we are committed to protecting your privacy. We only use the information that we have collected from you lawfully and for the purposes of your order in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003. Our systems collect address and buying information at the point of order so that we are able to complete your request and provide you excellent customer service.
- We will never rent, sell or share your personal information with anyone. Ever.
- When you trust us with your email address, we take that trust very seriously. We will never sell, lease or share your email address with anyone, for any reason.
- Your personal details, such as your postal address, email address and other information are stored on a fully secure server in one of the most secure data centres in the world.
- We don’t store any of your credit card details at all.
You can check any information that we hold about you by emailing us on firstname.lastname@example.org. If you find any inaccuracies, we will amend and/or delete them promptly. The personal information that we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and United Kingdom law.
